In the spirit of our patron, Saint Bernardine, who was so in touch with the needs of his time, we recognize our responsibility to nurture the growth of our parish, to unite as one community and to gather enthusiastically and respectfully in praise of our Lord Jesus Christ.
St. Bernardine acted with sincerity, courage and humility. With these same qualities, and with the Lord as our Shepherd, we set out on our journey:
- To welcome others sincerely into our community – old and young, those from our community and those from afar. As we have been fed we reach out to feed others; in doing so, joyfully share our love of the Lord.
- To grow in our faith by sharing the Word of God through catechesis and education.
- To share our time, treasure and talents for the good of all. We are enriched by our diverse histories and traditions.
“Therefore, we do not lose heart. Inwardly, we are being renewed day by day. Our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes, not on what is seen, but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” – Corinthians 4:16
Respectful of our past and hopeful of our future, at this very special time, we choose to work from an attitude of abundance, for with God, all things are truly possible.
