It is time to take a stand. Just like
the faithful in today’s first reading and the disciples in the Gospel, we must decide if we really believe things that are beyond our human understanding: that we are made in the divine image, that Jesus is both divine and human, that the Holy Spirit dwells inside of us, and so on. When we pray the Creed today, take note of all that we believe, pronounce firmly each “I believe,” and note the assent of those around you who share our beliefs.
Registration and payment of tuition for Religious Education will take place this weekend after all the masses in the cafeteria.
The end of August and beginning of September is when I usually take vacation. It gives me an opportunity to visit my family and friends in Poland and relax a little bit. I’m leaving tonight and will be back September 14th. Big thanks to the priests who will celebrate Masses while I am on vacation.
May God bless us as we enjoy the rest of the Summer.
