As Jesus is transfigured before his disciples in today’s Gospel, a voice comes from the cloud saying, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.” Lent is a particularly appropriate time to listen to Jesus. Last week we heard him proclaiming, “Repent and believe in the Gospel.” Next week we will hear him say “Stop making my Father’s house a marketplace.” During this penitential season we reflect on when we have disobeyed or turned away from God, and we ask for forgiveness.
Every Friday during the Lent we will gather in the Church for the Stations of the Cross. Please find time and join me in this beautiful devotion. Stations of the Cross will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m.
Soup For The Soul will take place on Thursday (3/8) and Tuesdays (3/13 and 3/20) at 7:00 p.m. in Fearon Hall. Excellent speakers are invited not to mention tasty soups. Please join me in this special event.
Our Lenten Reconciliation Service will be on Wednesday, March 21.
Thank you all who participated in our Lenten Mission and Kingdom Retreat. It was a good spiritual regeneration just at the beginning of Lent. May God continually bless us in this holy time.
