God the Father is revealed to us through the Son, who became one of us, and the Holy Spirit, who dwells in us. The human race is graced because God is three persons in a relationship of love. Today, on the day on which we honor fathers, stepfathers, foster fathers, grandfathers, godfathers and fathers of all kinds – we look to the Holy Trinity as a model for the loving relationship we strive for in our own families.
The Hall is almost done! The finishing touches to complete the Hall should be done by next week. Our new tables and chairs have arrived! Remember that the fundraising done last summer (Northerly Island) raised over $18,000.00 for new furnishings in the Hall, which we have put to good use. The stage curtains have been cleaned and repaired by Breit and Clean, our neighbors on Madison Street. They did a great job and the curtains look terrific! Our Grand Re-Opening of the Hall will be on Saturday, June 29, after the 5:00 pm mass. A complimentary meal of hot dogs and burgers will be available, and we will have the drawing for our Big Cash Raffle at the end of the evening. I hope you can join us as we celebrate the renovations in the Parish Hall.
Father’s Day Blessing:
God our Father, in your wisdom and love you made all things. Bless these men, that they may be strengthened as Christian fathers. Let the example of their faith and love shine forth. Grant that we, their sons and daughters, may honor them always with a spirit of profound respect.
Happy Fathers’ Day!
