Today we honor Holy Trinity – one God, yet three persons. God is one, but God is not alone. God is alive and in the Trinity, we have an ideal example of a relationship of pure and infinite love. Every time we make the sign of the cross may we be reminded of the love that bonds the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. May the love of the Holy Trinity be a model for us in our relationships with each other.
We are making plans at St.Bernardine to re-open the church for mass! Our Re-Opening Team has been meeting and we are currently laying out the plans to train volunteers. Our goal is to be ready the weekend of June 20 – 21 but there are steps that must be taken, in accordance with the Archdiocese of Chicago, in order to open. Our parishioners will be a part of the re-opening plan. Since we will only be accepting 50 people per mass (to start), anyone who wishes to attend must reserve their space. If we have your e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail from Sign-up Genius. You will see the masses and mass times listed. You must sign up each time! Once you sign up for mass, the parish office will receive a return e-mail with your reservation, and your name will be put on the list. A very limited number of spaces will be held for those who do not have a computer. Those people must call the office and this will be on a first come, first serve basis. If we do not have your e-mail address, or would like to check to make sure we do, please call the rectory office.
We are working hard to get the word out to everyone. I would greatly appreciate it if you know anyone who may not have a computer, if you could please let them know about our reservation system, or ask them to call the rectory office.
God bless you,
