During the month of November, we call to mind those who have died: friends, family, members of this community. November also brings the end of the church year. For both of these reasons, today’s readings focus on death. But more importantly, they also affirm the resurrection. We are the people filled with hope because we believe that death is not the end. As we celebrate Mass today, let our hope in eternal life comfort us as we recall our beloved dead.
The 31st Annual Game Day is today. We have a special ticket price for our parishioners – $20.00 which can be purchased at the back of church after every mass. More details about tickets and raffles may be found in the Chimes.

On All Souls’ Day, Catholic churches have a Book of the Dead, in which parishioners have an opportunity to write the names of relatives to be remembered. That’s placed near the altar through the month of November. In our Church, the Book of the Dead is displayed in front of Mary’s altar. Feel free to write in it the names of your faithful departed.
Annual Catholic Appeal. With two months still to go in the 2019 Annual Catholic Appeal, St. Bernardine parishioners have once again outdone themselves! Hopefully, I will see many of you on Game Day.
