During November, we remember those who have died. Over the last two days, we have celebrated All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, honoring those whose lives have been holy and recalling all those we love whom we have lost. For God, however, no one is truly lost, no one is dead. All are alive in God. Let us mourn for our loss, yes, but let us find comfort in knowing that our God of life is stronger than death.
Our cafeteria and kitchen are almost renewed and ready to serve our needs. The first event is the Kingdom Retreat. It is scheduled for Saturday, November 9th. More details are in the Chimes.
The 31st Annual Game Day will be on Sunday, November 10th. We have a special price for our parishioners – $20.00. You can buy tickets at the back of the church after every mass. More details about tickets and raffles may be found in the Chimes.
The Pancake Breakfast will be held on Sunday, November 24th.
We are organizing a new event which is called “Movie Night”. The first night when we will watch a movie in our Fearon Hall is scheduled for Saturday, January 11th after 5:00 evening Mass. Parish Pastoral Council will pick up a movie for this evening. Please save the date – January 11th.

The Saturday night shelter at St. Mary of Celle in Berwyn finds itself without enough gently used bath towels to serve all those guests wanting to take showers. If some parishioners find a few used ones lurking on their shelves Mary Richie will be delighted to take them for the use of their homeless guests. You can bring them to mass and place them in the Housing Forward box near Mary’s altar, or call Mary Richie, 708-256-1932.
Monday, November 4th at 7:00 pm. Holy Hour will take place in the chapel. Please join me in this traditional devotion. It is an excellent occasion for more prayers for our loved ones, both living and the dead.
God bless you,
